Ethan's 18 month check-up

Ethan had his 18 month check up today. He is in the 90% for height and weight. He is 34 inches tall and weighs 29 lbs 8 oz. His ears looked good today, but he still has an appointment with the ENT on Friday. He is talking up a storm and doing great otherwise. He is a great sleeper - still sleeping from 7 pm to 7:30 am with a 3 hour nap at 12 noon. He is no longer sitting in his highchair, using the inflatable tub or a baby toothbrush. He wants all things big-boy! Except when it comes to Mama. He is still a Mommy's boy. He eats just about everything and says the blessing before eating. He clasps his hands together and then says "amen" (see picture). He put 2 words together yesterday and said "dada, peese" when asking for something. Ethan had the chicken pox vaccine today and he has been so fussy that I am worried sick about him. All in all, every day with him is so much fun and better than the day before. Ethan, I love, love, love you!
We have great news! We found out last week that we are having a baby girl!! They told us we were having a boy early on and then we found out differently. I had to have 3 ultrasounds just to confirm it. Ethan can say "baby" and we try to get him to say her name and it comes out something like "zhowee". His baby sister will be named Joy! We think she will bring so much joy to our lives! Just like Ethan :)
