It has been a crazy and hectic weekend. First of all, I have to mention that Scott came home from Iraq today! Thank the Good Lord for keeping him safe. He is an Army Ranger and has been in a very dangerous position. Congratulations Kim on your hubby for returning home to you and Eli. He is a Rock Star!!
Oz kept Ethan yesterday while I ran around like a mad woman. I hosted a baby shower for Stephanie in the a.m. Then, I went to see little Mary Belle that arrived on the 17th. She is adorable. 7 lbs 15 oz. Then, I went to buy a wedding gift for Alexis, finally bought (well, ordered) my new iphone, and then went to Alexis's wedding shower at night. I was so tired when I got home that I went to bed at 9 o'clock. Today, Oz and I went to church and then spent some time cleaning our bedroom and that's about all.
I have a major sweet tooth. Major. I am the type of person that wants desert after breakfast, lunch and dinner and for my snacks in-between. Well, I decided today that I am cutting out the sugar. It lasted until 8:00 tonight. I am going to reboot and try again tomorrow. I know that I can cut out the chocolate. I did it while I was breastfeeding. I bet if I cut out the sweets I will drop some major weight. I am so addicted to Chick-fil-A milkshakes. Yum. Note to self: buy chewing gum first thing in the a.m. Maybe I can buy a sugar patch. Is there such a thing?
I made scrambled eggs today for breakfast and Ethan had a huge blowout this evening. When I type "blowout", I mean BLOWOUT. Now that I think of it, last week when I gave him eggs, he had diarrhea. Maybe he is allergic. Ethan did a few new things today. When I was feeding him dinner, he was trying to give me bites and I told him "no, you eat it" and he shook his head no and said "Mama". He was actually telling me to do something. I didn't even know that he knew how to shake his head "no". Also, I said Ethan, sit down so I can take your shoes off. Well, he sat down and started pulling at his shoes. This may not seem like a major revelation to most of you, but I was pretty shocked. Lastly, Oz was taking his arms out of his shirt, and Ethan finished by completely pulling his shirt off of his own head. Way to go Ethan!
What Ethan likes today: Umm, I guess Daddy is still at the top of the list. Thanks buddy! Being held - he wants to see what is going on up in the world. He can't see much a little over 2 feet off of the ground.
What Ethan doesn't like today: Eggs!

What a fun and eventful weekend!! I would definatly buy sugar patches if they made them...I think you got something there, you should invent them :) Isn't it amazing how fast little ones start to understand EVERYTHING!! I think it is so crazy how fast they learn things. I wish my brain was still like that :)

I love how fast these little ones pick up on stuff, you will be amazed by so much as each day goes by and new stuff is done. Itis just fun to watch them live and learn each day.
