Today is the opening celebration of the Olympics in China. I am watching the opening ceremonies now and the show is incredible.
We had the most beautiful day here in Atlanta. The weather was gorgeous and and there was no humidity! But to summarize today, Ethan's new nap schedule stinks! The morning just dragged on and 11:00 seems way to early for lunch. He only slept 2 hours and he was grumpy this afternoon.
After he woke from his nap, we went to Grandpa Don and Nin's house. There were men cutting down trees next door at Ann's house. So Don, Ethan, Ann, Kayden and I sat outside watching them cut the trees down. Boring you say? Not to a 1 year old! The reason I am on here posting this is because the cutest thing happened. Don fed Ethan his usual banana. Well, Kayden got a little jealous, so Don went inside to get her some applesauce (Kayden is 7 months old). She didn't really want the applesauce, but of course Ethan did, so Don started feeding it to him. After a few minutes, Ethan took the cup and spoon and started trying to feed Kayden. I went and grabbed my phone out of the car (the iphone rocks!) and snapped some pictures. I almost cried it was so cute. Notice Ethan striking the John Travolta pose. The stud was trying to point at something, but looks like he is "Stayin' Alive"!

Lil' E, you've made the Bee Gees so proud! :-)
I've missed reading your blogs and keeping up with Ethan since my computer crashed and Scott returned home. Things are starting to return to "normal" (whatever that is for a military wife of a 2 year old) and it's just so nice to be normal again and have some help. "Nice" is such an understatement. I feel like I'll soon be able to enjoy my son again, rather than just feeling like it took everything I had just to "maintain and sustain." We'll be back in GA next weekend for a few days. See ya'll then.
